John McEnery has been a massive addition to MWM. Hardworking, knowledgeable and extremely popular amongst members. His dedication to help others has really stood out.
John McEnerys business is JMAC Office Solutions is based in Killarney, Co. Kerry. Originally from Listowel , john has spent most of his life living in Killarney.
For 20 years he had worked as an Industrial Engineer, working his way up from Work Study Officer in Tuf Shoes Killarney to being an Industrial Engineering Manager in Kostal, Abbeyfeale (manufacturing PCB’s for the electronics in cars) up to 2005, for 10 years.
In 2005 he was in a partnership in Cartridge Company where he mainly dealt in Printers, inks and Toner Business up to 2012 and in that year he set up JMAC Office Solutions where they immediately expanded the business to include Office planning and Layouts (including 3D drawings), Ergonomics as well as Stationery and Managed Print Services.
His background is in Industrial Engineering with over 20 years experience in this field. One of the major goals of Industrial Engineering is to improve the working conditions for everyone which of course relates to the offices as well and will include workplace set up, lighting, noise levels, office colour schemes and overall a good working atmosphere.
They worked on all these issues in KOSTAL Group especially in his last 7 years there. Ergonomics was part of his Higher Diploma course in Industrial Engineering which he completed in 1991. After joining the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, he expanded his knowledge hugely in this area so they then added Ergonomic assessments to our list of services they provide.
They at JMAC worked on a few major projects pre 2020 including the Reception area in Pierce Fitzgibbon Solicitors in Listowel and the main office in Promed Killorglin.
In 2022, they were awarded All-Star Thought Leader in Ergonomics & Office Planning accreditation by the All-Ireland Business Foundation (AIBF).
